My good friend Dustin Rippetoe has been fighting Berger’s disease since 2006. Fortunately, he was stable and had average renal function for the first 10 years. The last 2 years have been very rocky to say the least, and his condition has worsened. Dialysis has been ongoing multiple times per week, and hospital visits have been more frequent.
This battle is not only for Dustin, but his family, wife Kenzie and 4 yr. old son Bennett. This disease has uprooted them from their home and business in North Oklahoma City (Silverleaf Shotgun Sports).
Dustin has a long history as a kettlebell instructor. He has been devotedly training with kettlebells since 2004 and has been a certified kettlebell instructor under Pavel Tsatsouline since April of 2006. First with Pavel’s RKC and now proudly with StrongFirst. He has had the honor of serving as Team Leader in both organizations and actively promotes StrongFirst training methodologies and now as his health permits out of ACWA Tulsa.
